Three cubed

(Found here)
Begun 5/13 7:35 p.m.

2501. What image, scent, memory, etc. would you take with you into the dark/light, the land of dead, heaven, infinity.....? Right now, the answer is a pine forest.

2502. Who is the most annoying musical artist EVER? I can't stand Geddy Lee's voice. I admire him and his writing, but his singing voice literally makes my skin crawl. Sorry, Rush fans.

2503. If you HAD to go to one of the following concerts, which would it be:
Snow Nope.
Vanilla Ice Yuck no!
NKOTB Yawn.
Milli Vanilli Well, seeing as one of them is very dead....
BSB If they did the whole show dressed as the Spice Girls, I would totes be there!
NSYNC Nope.

2504. Do you believe in manifest destiney? I believe that it was a belief that caused (and continues to cause?) some massive issues in this country. I believe it was a fallacy of fact, but a lot of people won't be convinced of that.

2505. Have you ever fallen for an email forwarding hoax (send this to 13 people and Old Navy will send you a $200.00 gift card)? Do you ever think 'well, maybe...' and actually forward those damn things? As someone old enough to have gotten yoinked into a number of chain letter scams, I didn't buy all this "free stuff" thing online when it started showing up.

2506. Let's say there are 2 schools. one for boys and one for girls. They are both supposed to offer the same facilities so that the girls and boys get equal education. Would you take this to mean that the same courses should be offered to both girls and boys or that the same amount of money should be spent on each school? Yes, both. I think the graduation requirements should be the same for the two schools, and I think this whole idea is stupid.

Imagine that in the boys school fifteen boys sign up for calculus. In the girls school only five girls sign up for calculus. Should the girls calculus class be disolved dissolved and replaced with an easir easier one? Nope nope nope! Fuckin' teach what needs learning!

2507. Would it bother you if you found out that the fruits, vegetables, and meat that you eat is genetically altered (in lots of cases it is!)? Nope, because I know it is.

2508. What does this world need? Forgiveness, on a micro scale.

2509. Is there anything you do just because you want to even though it has no redeeming social value? Most of the little things in life are not necessarily done of redeeming social value. For instance, drinking vodka and ginger ale at 10 p.m. on a Saturday night. No social value. I didn't sleep better, and I woke up all weird. Stupid.

2510. If you drink what kind of drunk are you? I promise I didn't read ahead. I'm mostly a silly drinker. I get the giggles easy and then I fall asleep.

2511, Do you ever 'convieniently' forget something you don't want to remember? All the time. It is my M.O.

2512. If you have any cousins are you close? I have cousins. I haven't seen any of them since the 1970s.

2513. Are you in love with yourself (your beautiful self)? Well, when I'm not actively berating myself for being a moron, yes.

2514. What was the first movie you got on DVD? I have no idea.

2515. If you're sexy and you know it clap your hands. Did you clap? Nope. If you'd asked if I believe in fairies, I probably would have, though.

2516. Have you ever called a:
psychic hotline? Nope.
suicide crisis line? Nope.
sex line? Nope.
dating line? Nope.

2517. Have you ever placed a personal ad anywhere? Nope.

2518. Do guys look good in make up? Depends on the point they're trying to make with it. Generally, make-up makes everyone look different from their real self, so...

2519. What are 5 things you don't care about? Wearing a ton of make-up, other people's religious expression (unless you're trying to force it on me), who you are consensually boinking, the detailed plot of the last superhero movie you saw, economic theory.

2520. What are you going to do until you die? Breathe....?

2521. What 'issue' do you think your opinion is so right about that you end up trying to sway others to your point of view? Kids need protection by (and from) ALL the adults around them.

2522. What age do you hope to live until? I'd like another couple of decades. At this point, though, I'm questioning why live past retirement. My life stretches ahead of me looking rather bleak these days.

2523. Do you like to tie others down during sex? None of your business. And I don't really care if others are (or are not) into this either. See the whole part about "consent" in 2519 above.
Have you ever been tied down? Still none of your business.

2524. Do you own any "toys"? Sigh. MYOB.
Do you ever use them? Presumptuous, aren't we?

2525. Have you ever been spanked in that sexy way? Holy fuckin' hell....! MYOB. I will, however, say that, having been sparked in the extremely NOT-sexy way too many times to count as a child, I don't find spanking real sexy.
Have you ever spanked anyone else? MYOB

2526. Do these questions make you uncomfortable? Yes, but more in the sense of this not being something I discuss in public (IRL or on my blog).
Do you like that feeling? I'm not a fan of being uncomfortable, though on the other hand, being uncomfortable brings lots of growth opportunities.
Does it turn you on? Being uncomfortable? Not ... so much.

2527. You know those ___ for Dummies books (COMPTERS COMPUTERS FOR DUMMIES, SURFING FOR DUMMIES, GOLDF FOR DUMMIES, WICCA FOR DUMMIES)? I'm familiar, yes.
Which one do you need to reaad? "Need" would probably be Personal Finance/Planning for Dummies. I actually enjoy reading these for fun though.

2528. What do your socks look like? They are light gray with orange toes, heels, and stripes across the instep.

2529. Which of these really famous music artists started their career as a mime: I have no idea, but the thought of Bruce Springsteen as a mime has me ROFLing....
Alice Cooper
David Bowie
Bruce Springsteen
Moby
Jewel
Frank Zappa

2530. Does love float away if you let go? Uhm, no? I mean, there are lots of people I still love that I haven't seen/spoken to in YEARS. I still love them.

2531. Do you think that most people in today's society are:
kind? depends on so many factors, but one-on-one helpfulness around here is pretty common.
calm? Nope.
humble? Yeah.
peaceful? Again, this depends on so many factors. Generally, yes, with upticks in frustrated rage once in awhile.
helpful? I live in the Midwest. It's a requirement to be helpful.
happy? Nope.
spiritual? Nope.
creative? Yeah, I do believe we all have some creativity involved in each of our personalities.
friendly? Also, hello, Midwest. Surface friendliness is a given.
independant independent? Nope. No one is really independent anymore.
intelligent? There's a bell-curve. Lots of people are moderately intelligent, and then you've got the people at either end of the curve....
having fun? In spurts, yes. Overall...nope.
comming up with new ideas? Yes, always.
able to think for themselves? Up to a point, yes.
able to really connect with others? I think this is getting harder to do.
If you answered no to any of the above, why do you think that is? I think we're a very fractured, freaked-out population these days. I tend to see others as liable to react in just about any possible way, but the default tends to be mindless. Usually that's fine. Sometimes, it's really bad.

2532. Do you believe that every action has a sexual motive (think Freud)? Nope. I think our deep instincts are a little more complex than that.

2533. Speaking of Freud, did you know he was on drugs (think cocaine)? EVERYONE was using coke back in the day!

2534. Do you trust psychology as a valid science? It IS a valid science. It's not a matter of trust.

2535. ID: In Freudian theory, the division of the psyche that is totally unconscious and serves as the source of instinctual impulses and demands for immediate satisfaction of primitive needs (sex, food, agressive aggressive behavior, drugs, alcohol, yelling, anger, fighting).
SUPEREGO: In Freudian theory, the division of the unconscious that is formed through the internalization of moral standards of parents and society, and that censors and restrains the ego.
So, which one do you express more, your ID or your SUPEREGO? This is such a total oversimplification of Freudian theory....I'm way more Id than Superego overall.

2536. Do you think that people who are alone and depressed are depressed because they are alone or alone because they are depressed? I don't presume to make that connection in any way. I'm alone 75% of my life. That is not, directly, the reason I'm depressed. I'm depressed because my life is in a shambles that has little to do with my alone-ness.

2537. Can you complete any of the following lyrics:
I stop and I stare too much, afraid that I care too much... yawn, no
You're a new and better man, he helps you to understand, He does everything he can, he's.... really fuckin' annoying? No?
Took the needles from my arms and put them to the sky... Doesn't seem like an efficient recycling/cleanup program to me......
Top Gun shut down your Firm like Tom Cruise.... whatever-the-fuck-ever
Don't you take it so hard now, And please don't take it so bad.... Just go on and take it and go? No?

2538. How about these?
From around the way, born in '73, Harcore B-boy named... "harcore"? is that a thing?
And this feeling shivers down your spine, Love comes in colors I can't deny.... Nope, no clue.
Before he hung up the phone he took a deep breath, stopped, and replied.... "put me on the do-not-call list."
When I want you in my arms, when I want you and all your charms, whenever I want you all I have to do is...
Silly games that you were playing, empty words we both were saying... Pretty much sounds like my life...

2539. Have you ever been to see a ballet? Yes. Yes I have.

2540. What is the differance difference between Satan and Pan? One is a Greek confabulation of nature + bad behavior; one is Judeo-Christian and completely unrelated to Greek thought.

2541. What should a poem be or do if it is a sucessful successful poem? It should take readers outside themselves while also feeling "true."

2542. When you interpret a poem can each line mean anything you want it to? Yknow what...? Sure. Why not? /sarcasm

2543. Are you an orgasm addict? Uhm. Heh. Have you seen my life these days?? hah

2544. Are you a sugar junkie? As I sit here nibbling on Skittles...what do you think?

2545. WHAT are you DOING? THIS, while waiting for Sparky's imminent arrival.

WHY aren't you marching in line with the rest of them? I gave up marching 35 years ago, and I'm not a great follower.

jazz: Trombone Shorty
metal: Ozzy
rock: Melissa Etheridge
new wave: Howard Jones
psychadelic psychedelic: Jimi, duh

2552. What are your feelings about:
Picasso? VERY talented, also a total mystery to me.
Van Gogh? Nuts, but with a beautiful sense of color and form.
Michaelangelo? It would have been fascinating to have known him and to have watched him work. He would have been 100% uninterested in me in any way.
D'Vincci Da Vinci? Also fascinating, and I suspect eminently more fun to spend time with.
Einstein? I bet he'd've been fun to go for a walk with, or have a drink with. His intellect would have made me feel like a moron, though.
Tesla? Another person I'd feel stupid around, and I don't get the sense we'd get on well personally either.

2553. Who else can you think of that made a MAJOR contribution to art or science? You mean, aside from that list above? There are dozesn, nay hundreds, of names. Copernicus through Hawking, holy crap the art world is insanely full, so yeah.

2554. Who can you think of that made a major contribution to modern thought? Macchiavelli.

2555. Why is it called 'Coca Cola'? Because cocaine. Seems to be a minor theme of this bunch of questions....

2556. Would you ever buy a Ford car? I fookin' OWN a Ford! So does Sparky! The last three new cars in this household, in fact, were Fords.

2557. Donald or Daffy Duck? Daffy. But really, duck soup would be preferable to either of them.

2558. What is the most memorable thing about Pee-Wee Herman? As a character, it would be his zaniness.

2559. Lease or buy a car? This is a question I'm going to be facing fairing shortly. I don't know the answer at this point.

2560. Have you met Real Talkin' Bubba? WTF. I hope to hell not!

2564. Would you ever want to visit Thailand? Not really.

2565. What culture are you fascinated by? Native American.

2566. Have you ever worn a cape? Not for decades. I don't think I can quite pull it off with the right amount of aplomb.

2567. What is the difference between 'nude' and 'naked'? "Nude" seems more artistic and maybe clinical. "Naked" sounds more like uncovered/lacking in clothing.

2568. What can you get for a dollar? Ten copies from the copier or printer at work.

2569. What makes you who you are? My experiences, thoughts, memories... I don't know. This is a question I'm not sure how to answer when it comes to my husband. Is he still "him"?

2570. How do you search for meaning in life? How do I, specifically? I think a lot and listen to/read other people's ideas. I look at nature. I watch kids and puppies. How do YOU do it? I dunno. Work it out for yourself.

2571. If your partner collected internet porn pics of celebs s/he thought was hot would that bother you? Not at this point. Far more critical issues to deal with.

2572. You are alone with your lover's diary. What do you do? I'm reading it. Sorry. At this point, I think I need to to try to figure him out.

2573. You read some and find out that a whhhiiillle back your lover had a crush on someone else, but you two were together. You both still hang out with this person. What do you do? Look, we've been married almost 32 years. If he hadn't had a crush in that time, he's a better person than I am. And at least a few of those crushes in MY background are people I see semi-regularly (or more often). A crush, does not automatically equal cheating or even wanting to cheat!

2574. Are you an old fart? Getting there!

2575. What were your favorite things to do in the yard as a kid? I had an extensive fantasy life, so that ate up a lot of my early years. Also, playing with cars, jumping rope, digging holes in dirt....LOTS of reading! I was a busy kid!

2576. Why don't people have more fun? It's not seemly. At least that's the general idea, apparently. Also, sometimes it requires a lot of energy.

2577. Have you ever wanted to have a pet skinned and turned into an article of clothing? That's massively creepy.
What pet? Just nope.
What article of clothing? And no.

2578. Do I come off sounding normal, mildly irrational, blatently blatantly insane or completely certifiable? In this chunk of questions, you mostly seem mildly inebriated.

2580. Is it nap time yet? Bitch, it's ALWAYS naptime!

2581. Do you have to have the space next to the door or can you walk from the other end of the parking lot and still be okay with the world? I'm capable of walking.

2582. Do you like trains? I like riding them, yes. I'm not a completely nutjob like two of my family members are, though.

2583. What's in Hungary? Hungarians?

2584. have you ever felt like you were holding someone else back? Yup. Not a good feeling.
Has someone ever held you back? Of course. Part of life, hey-yo.

2585. What do you think of the term, 'organized religion'? I think it is to laugh. Not much organized about it except in circle-jerk tendencies. And this is coming from someone who is a pretty solid church member.

2586. What do you think of the name 'Orson'? It seems like it should only be used for people who are plump.

Break at 8:38 p.m.
Back 5/19 5:14 p.m.

2587. What frustrates you? Usually my stupid self. Most often it's me. Sometimes it's other people, but the deepest frustration is with myself and my lack of motivation.

2588. Winkin, Blinkin and Nod, one night, sailed off in a sea of dew... Did they now? I've never know this. All these years I thought it went like this: Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night / Sailed off in a wooden shoe.

2589. Is ten dollars a good price to pay for one lipstick? Seeing as how I don't own a single lipstick, I wouldn't know.
