Today we picked Nirvana.

Being a politically-based asshat in public. Refusing to listen, refusing to accept other points of view, refusing to think about something for myself.

2. COME AS YOU ARE
Come doused in mud, soaked in bleach, as I want you to be.
As a trend, as a friend, as an old memory. Aahhh.
What is the worst beauty or health product or regime you have ever tried?

All of them? lol OK, weekly manicures were so useless in the end, and the fake nails were even more so.

3. DUMB

What is your mind-bender of choice?

Life is mind-bending enough, thankyouverymuch. The occasionaly drink makes it less bendy, to be honest.

Who in your family would you like to see more of?

Right now? None of them. If pressed, I would say my great-nephew, his parents, and some of my other nieces/nephews. Not, by any means, ALL of them, however.

My waistline. Or where it used to be.

The hymns, when everyone is singing, and the corporate prayers. Stopping and listening is pretty awesome.

What rebellious act have you committed?

Nothing particularly heinous and I try to keep it from hurting others, but in small ways I make it a practice to rebel every day. I'm not good with rules, not good at ALL.

What is your favorite first date activity?

I wouldn't have the faintest idea. Probably, nowadays, a coffee shop or something, but those weren't around when I was 'first dating.'

I have no expectation of retiring, so I'm sure it'll look a lot like now, but slower.

This implies that I never followed through... Ahem. Honestly: not a lot of 'consideration' involved, either.

As a result of this meme, I no longer feel the slightest bit guilty about not 'getting' Nirvana. I could never understand Cobain's singing, and now I'm kinda glad of that. But, I do get a couple of other pop culture references more clearly, ones I didn't know were tied to Nirvana.
