The Happy Labor Day Meme

1. What are you doing special this weekend for Labor Day?

All the stuff we were supposed to do this month: cleaning Sparky's room, making a school-clothes-needed list, and shopping for them. Also, laundry and figuring out the youth group schedule for the year. Gah.

2. What was your best vacation this past summer?

What vacation?

3. Did you do anything special for the 4th of July?

Nope.

4. What did you do special for Memorial Day?

Drove to OH for one last hurrah with the Gs before Grandma got much sicker. How prescient.

5. How was the weather? Tell us where you live and how the weather was as compared to summers past.

It was not quite as hot or as humid as normal, although the last week has been wonderful that way. And...rain? In August? Like, springtime rain, not thundershowers? Weird.

6. Did you discover a new favorite summer drink?

Freaked BIL out when I ordered Stoli-rocks at a restaurant/bar a couple of weeks ago. But, nothing really new, no.

7. Did you enjoy this summer’s Olympics?

Wait, there were OLYMPICS??? OK, just kidding, but I only saw a very little bit of them this year. Boooooo!

8. I am from New England (Rhode Island). Lobster rules supreme in the summer. Is lobster part of your summer ritual?

Nope. I live in the midwest. Corn rules our summer! :-)

9. What was the best single day of your summer?

I did have a pretty good summer, but I can't point to one single day, unless it was one of those while I was in Anaheim for ALA.
