1. a movie that made you laugh

Heathers. I fell off the couch the first time I saw it, literally landing on all fours and weeping with laughter. I think I watched the whole movie with my jaw dropped. I promise that I made every possible laughing sound over the course of the movie: snorts, guffaws, giggles, gasps (lots of those).... I love that movie.

2. a book that made you cry

The last time I read The Long Winter I cried. But I cry in a LOT of books. I know I've cried during books more recently than that one, but I can't remember which one for sure.

3. a best friend

I'm taking the chicken way out and saying Beast because I can't pick only one of my other best friends!

4. a favorite childhood memory

I flew alone to visit my sister Marie for a week when I was 10. It was a 45-minute flight and I thought it was WAY cool: they let me board the plane first, I got wings and lots of attention from the stewardesses (it was 1973, they were still stewardesses), and a ton of new toys to play with (TINY little playing cards are what I remember mostly).

5. your favorite animal

My favorite individual animal was our last dog. She was a great dog and a real princess. My favorite animal in general is the wolf.
