Randomness

randomness...feed your mind and your blog

week of Oct8: Monster Mash (an archive)
Halloween is near, so I looked into the randomness archives
and found this juicy little tidbit that
I posted last year at this time.

Happy Haunting to you.

1. What's your favorite Halloween costume? Do you still dress up for Halloween?
We always dressed for Halloween at my first 'real' job after graduation. I only remember one year, when I kind of went whole-hog: I bought an ugly black-patterned dress at a resale shop, shredded the arms and skirt, teased my hair into a rat's nest and glopped up my face, neck and lower legs and feet with white, yellow and green makeup. I was dead. Can't believe I kept my job, since (looking back) it was a strong commentary on my feelings about the place.

Another year I wore my Harley jacket over a black T, jeans, a chain on my waist, boots, and kinky-braided hair: biker chick.

I don't dress up anymore. Yuck. Too much hassle. I have a hard enough time on a daily basis figuring out what to wear!
2. Pumpkin Carving, is it fun or overrated?
Fun. Especially with patterns besides the usual three-triangles-and-a-mouth thing. We each pick a face to carve...and then Beast usually ends up doing mine. Sparky's now old enough to do his own.
3. What's your fav Halloween treat?
Sugar of any kind is good. Not so much hard candy, or the sticky kind, though. I really like candy corn and those marshmallow-y pumpkins...sigh.

My intention this year is to hand out candy I don't like very much...that makes it hard because I'm so not-picky. If I can find something, though, I won't have a bowl of leftovers tempting me afterwards.
till next time....
