"Meet the Flintstones" (The Flintstones Theme)
(Recommended by Harriet)
Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it here.

1) The song promises that, "When you're with the Flintstones, you'll have a yabba-dabba-doo time." So clearly Wilma was one accomplished hostess. What about you? Do you enjoy having company?
Yes. Sparky's instead of family. been home for three weeks and headed back to summer classes, research, and a job today. I'm a little bereft because he's gone, and also because he's right on the cusp of being 100% "company" instead of part of the household. But yeah...anyway. I like having company, though I can't promise a "yabba-dabba-doo time."
2) Since lyrics say, "Let's ride with the family down the street/courtesy of Fred's two feet," we're assuming the pedal-powered Flintstone car didn't require much gas. Are you loyal to a particular brand of gas? Or do you fill up with whatever is nearby, or least expensive?
I fill up with whatever's cheap and on the way to where I'm going. I use GasBuddy if I'm not in dire shape and plan from there.
3) Clearly a sharp-dressed man in stone-age Bedrock wore a long tunic and no pants. What are you wearing right now, as you answer these questions?
I've got stretchy capris and a T-shirt on.
4) Pebbles Flintstone grew up with Dino the Dinosaur and Baby Puss the Saber-Tooth Cat. Did you have any pets as you were growing up?
We had a parakeet when I was really little. I got a dog when I was 10.
5) Mr. Slate is Fred's blustery boss at quarry, and he frequently threatens to fire Fred. Have you ever had a bad-tempered boss?
I've worked for two bosses with varying degrees of mental illness. They never threatened to fire me; in one case, I kind of wished she had. Unemployment and a labor lawsuit would've been interesting. The other boss had 3 employees quit under her reign and one retired. Only one of those losses was a good thing.
6) It's estimated that during The Flintstones original run (1960-1966), it was viewed by as many adults as kids. Now that you're a grown up, do you still watch cartoons?
Nope. I thankfully swore off most animation when Sparky outgrew Disney.
7) In 1961, The Flintstones was nominated for a Prime Time Emmy Award as Outstanding Comedy Series. Do you watch awards shows?
Sometimes. I missed several this spring, but they are entertaining.
8) There are at least two Flintstones-themed amusement parks currently in operation. Do you enjoy scary rides?
Not really. I don't mind regular rollercoasters=--not upside-down ones--mostly because I take my glasses off and I can't see anything much then. I don't like spinny rides at all.
9) Flintstones Vitamins are still on store shelves. Do you take a vitamin each morning?
Yes I do. Just switched to the purple One-A-Days this year. Whee.

I guess I should be thankful that I've only had one brush up with a bad boss.

I go for cheap gas as well. In western Mass there is one town where the prices are 3.50 a gallon as opposed to 3.63 elsewhere. Fortunately it's near my office...

The county in which I live has an extra surcharge on tax due to blah blah blah stuff. We're 20 minutes from the line--if I drove that to get gas I'd save over 20 cents a gallon. But...I'm too lazy to do that. ;-)

There's a reason I call that boss PsychoBoss, KW.

I know I have two pairs of capris somewhere. Now that it's 80ยบ+, it's time for me to dig them out. Thanks for reminding me.
