Should Be Reading

(Link in meme-roll)
Tuesday Teasers

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too.
  1. "We left the car on safe ground and followed them down a series of dark winding tracks, without knowing who they were or where they were taking us. I felt alternating waves of panic and resignation, for I realised that if they wanted to rob or kidnap us, they could have done so already."  Better Than Fiction ("Off the Beaten Track in Malawi" by Marina Lewycka)
To me, this is what good travel stories sound like
  2. "Our knowledge of God and our theological reflections are unavoidably finite, derivative and under development. Much of the historical commentary on cognitive limits in theology has been guided by reflections on Exodus 33:17-23." (A Little Book for New Theologians, by Kelly M. Kapic
This is pretty dense reading, and it's taken me three weeks to read 81 pages of this 121-page book
I've got a couple of other books going as well, but I'm too lazy to go get them.

Interesting teasers. The first one sounds very intriguing! Here is my teaser for this week.

Yeah, sorry, that second book--already pretty pared down and hard to find two sentences that don't lean heavily on everything else.
