Patrick's Place

(Link in meme-roll)
Saturday 6

1. What’s the last movie you waited in a long line to see?
Uhm? ... I don't generally wait for movies. I know I waited for Star Wars in 1977. Maybe one of the early Harry Potters, or the first Tolkien movie, but it wasn't a "long" line, for sure. I don't do lines unless compelled to.
2. What’s the biggest movie you’ve been excited about seeing before the premiere?
Well, it's gotta be a Harry Potter, probably 3 or 4. The current one I'm not too excited to see since it's the end, and that's sad. I'll probably go Monday.
3. Do you watch more movies in the theater or on DVD?
DVD. Hands-down, not even a close call. I probably see an average of 7 movies a decade in a theater.
4. Which do you prefer to do: watch a movie or read a book if both are based on the same story?
Depends on the author. I'd see a movie of a Russian author first, most of the time, and I think the Twilight series just HAS to be better on screen than on paper. But I'd rather read a Stephen King book than see a movie based on it.
5. How often have you found that the book really is better than the movie?
Nearly every time. In fact, I can't think of a movie that was definitively better.
6. Take the quiz: Are You a Book or a Movie?
You Are a Book
You are a deliberate thinker. You don't like to gloss over anything, and details matter to you.
When times get tough, you get philosophical. You never forget the meaning of life.

If you're facing a problem, getting away for a couple days always helps you clear your mind.
You always consider the past, present, and future. You believe every little event shapes your life.
Well, I think that about covers it--not! I'm not at all deliberate unless I'm forcing myself to be and I don't have to go anywhere to think and 'clear my mind.'

How funny - I had the same answer to the first question, and I came out as the "Book", too. Most of our answers were similar. You'll have to tell me how the last movie was; my husband always gives monosyllabic answers and that usually isn't enough detail!
