I have. And no. However, since it's Poetry Month, I'm posting one a day by other authors elsewhere.

8. Bluebird - Listen to my bluebird laugh.
She can't tell you why.
Deep within her heart, you see,
She knows only crying.
Just crying.
Have you ever had to deal with someone suffering from depression?

Yup. Every waking day for many years. Mostly in the winter. And I strongly suspect my mom suffered from it, too.

9. On the Way Home - When the dream came
I held my breath with my eyes closed
I went insane
Like a smoke ring day when the wind blows
Have you ever smoked? If you've quit, how did you do it?

Never started. Thank God I had the foresight never to start.

Tell us about a time when you realized that you were losing but could not change the outcome.

I tend to go into a big Denial Box and start dealing with details rather than the big picture stuff. It's not until much later that I suddenly realize that I've lost. And what I've lost.

I'm in pieces on the ground

And I'm standing on my knees

And that is part of being married. At least for me.
