OMG, I loathe all sites with auto-play music! Not just blogs; I'm talking about any site--excluding obvious music sites, of course. My advice: Turn.It.Off.

Spend time with the other person under adverse conditions. Talk about the big stuff: kids, religion, politics, etc. Be honest with yourself. Don't settle. If you promise something, follow through. Otherwise, as my dad put it, "You made your bed, you'd better be ready to lie in it."
