~January Blues~

In general is January a difficult month for you or not?

Based on the last two examples--'08 and '07--yes. I don't like January as a rule because of the cold weather and cloudy miserable skies, either.

Do you tend to lose weight or gain weight in January?

I usually try to recover from Christmas and eat more carefully in January. Not this year. In any case, one would think that I lose weight, but I don't really track my weight that carefully, so I don't know.

What do you look forward to in January?

The end of it. Sparky's birthday is in early February, so we're usually quite literally looking forward to it!

What positive thing that you're proud of have you accomplished this month?

I have been nothing but wonderful to my brother-in-law's mother this week. I should win a fucking award! And I haven't cried (much), and I'm keeping my head together for the most part. I have been much more appreciative of Beast and Sparky than I think I normally have, too.

What's your favorite January pastime?

Sleeping.
OK, seriously? Post-season football and huddling under blankets near the fireplace.
