Friday's Feast

Describe your laundry routine. Do you have a certain day when you do it all, or do you just wash whatever you need for the next day?
Heh. My Laundry Dude (a.k.a. husband) does our laundry on Saturdays usually. However, this weekend, he's golfing and we'll be gone Sunday, and then he leaves on a business trip Monday a.m., so it looks like he started last night. I'll do a few loads today as well. For awhile, when I wasn't working (outside the home, for pay) I tried doing laundry on an "as needed" basis, but I found that it ended up feeling like I was doing laundry all the @(&%#*@ time. It sucked. I really hate laundry anyway, so it was pure misery.

In your opinion, what age will you be when you’ll consider yourself to truly be old?
I told my dad, jokingly, on his 70th birthday that I wouldn't argue with him anymore about being old--he'd been saying he was old for years before that. For me, I probably won't consider myself old until my body stops listening to reason and decides it's going to do its own thing, i.e. falls apart. That could be in five years (one sister's age when she was diagnosed with lymphoma and other sister's age when she found out she had PD), or thirty-five.

What is one of your goals? Is it short-term, long-term, or both?
My primary goal at this point is to do whatever I can to ensure my son a) survives high school, and b) goes to college without destroying our finances.
Main Course
Name something unbelievable you’ve seen or read lately.
See last night's post on my other blog. I hasten to add that it's not unbelievable to me that this stuff happens, just that these morons are both within spitting distance of my house.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how happy are you today?
Hmm, well, let's see: two child molesters practically camped on my porch, several loads of laundry to do....balanced against a TON of work I accomplished yesterday and the fact that I don't have to be there today, and the sun is shining for the first time all week PLUS I just managed to catch Sparky having done something really stupid and I didn't verbally smack him down the way I usually do (apparently--it's that "tone").... Surprisingly, I'm pretty happy: 9.
