From the garden...
Onesome: 'Lettuce'-- talk of salads and dressings: Is plain green your thing? ...or do you like 'stuff' mixed in or scattered over the top? ...and how about the dressing: what's leading your list this year?
I don't like a ton of extra stuff; it should be mostly greens (lettuce and spinach). Not at all liking tomatoes or cukes, but carrots, radishes, celery, broccoli, pepperoncini...that sounds wonderful!Twosome: and-- how about those Mets, -eh? Actually, baseball's doing okay this week, with basketball, football and cycling having the problems. Is there any sports news you'd care to comment on?
We are watching the Tour--me, very cursorily...what is the deal with the 7 million different jerseys, the fact that the teams aren't national, the whole concept of killing yourself to do this, and the crazy-ass people who run out in front of the riders??--Beast into it to a surprising degree.Threesome: tomato-- and lettuce: the perfect toppings for that hamburger someone will cook up for you at a Labor Day picnic in another month or so? ...or perhaps you have another set of condiments you like on your meat or tofu?
All I can say is "better cycling and golf than #(#@$^ing baseball!"
As I mentioned above, I'm not much into tomatoes (it's the texture, to a large degree, I think--and the fact that I can't stand the smell of tomato plants--but I do like lettuce and onion on my burgers, along with ketchup, a little mustard, and even steak sauce if I'm feeling really organized. And cheese. Let's not forget that!! By the way: they must be ground beef; no turkey or tofu allowed.
