I'd rethink the whole deal, maybe do some renegotiation of the way metaphysics works.

Talk to people, ask questions about them. I don't know. Those two things generally work.

What foreign language should everyone have to learn in school?

Everyone in this country? Spanish would be the most useful on a daily basis, but realistically it depends on what you're using it for. Arabic would be a fabulous choice right now, as would Chinese.
