Curious as a Cat

(Link at left)
Week Number Fifty-Five:

What spiritual concept, from any religion, is the hardest for you to understand? Is it something you have studied, or something you have only observed from the 'outside'?
I find predestination really complex, and it's a basic tenet of Presbyterianism. Just when I think I've got my mind wrapped around it, I lose my grip again. It's been a constant struggle for 30 years now. Oh, well.

I don't know enough about the ins and outs of most other (i.e. non-Christian) religions to comment on them. However, I will add that I have never understood the whole hoo-haw about women not being allowed access to control in churches on the basis of theology. It's so very clearly based on some sort of weird cultural fear and hatred of women. Stupid.
What kind of doctor would you want to be?
I wouldn't want to be a doctor. I don't want the kind of responsibility that engenders. If I had to pick, I'd go for dermatology or podiatry or something along those lines.
If you could run any existing charity, which one would you pick? Why? How would you change it, or would you keep it just as it is?
Oh, something else I wouldn't want to do! I can't even think of one I'd want to be involved with at that level. I guess I'd go with Red Cross, just because I think they (generally) do a good job coordinating themselves and having sensible procedures.
