Have you ever made snowballs and preserved them in the freezer?

Yow! No, but I have saved hailstones in the freezer a couple of times when they were enormous.

Have you ever had a cooking disaster?

Of course. Many of them. When I was a kid, I loved baking cakes from scratch. (like I don't like it now? I just don't have time, or the need for calories!). Somewhere I had read that if you line the cake pans with wax paper, you don't need to grease them (shortening/flour). I mixed up the cake batter and went to get the wax paper out only to find that we were out. Thinking about the lunches my mom packed--she'd wrap everything in wax paper, unless we were out--I figured I could use the next best thing: cling wrap.

Have you ever sent or received a piece of fan mail?

I've sent maybe two fan letters, both when I had the suffix "-teen" in my age. Have I received fan mail? Never really thought about it...I've gotten a few nice emails over the years from people who've read my blogs. Do they count??
