THE BATHROOM EDITION
Q1 - The Bathroom Door: When you're home alone and find that it's time to use the bathroom, do you shut the bathroom door, or do you leave it open?
Old habits die hard...I usually shut it most of the way at least. However, it's kind of dependent on how home alone I am. If it's 11 a.m. on a school day and I know Sparky's at school, I'm less worried. If it's 4 p.m. on a Saturday and Sparky & Beast are outside messing around, I do shut it tight.Q2 - Door Number Two:We've all seen them...unisex bathrooms in restaurants or in the workplace that have both a urinal and a separate toilet surrounded by a stall, all behind a lockable door. Assuming you lock the door to the bathroom (which I'm guessing every sane/reasonable human being does), if you choose to use the toilet inside of the stall, do you also lock the stall door, or do you leave it unlocked?
I lock the door otherwise it opens and wacks me in the legs. And (see above), old habits, etc.Q3 - Under or Over:According to a physics professor quoted by Ann Landers, to get (the toilet paper roll) to turn requires a certain torque, which comes from the tension in the paper being withdrawn. The greater the distance between the plane of the paper being pulled and the axis support line, the lesser the force required and the lesser the chance of tearing the paper before you have enough. Which camp are you in: Should the toilet paper be hung so the paper dangles over or under the roll?
Over for us, all the way nowadays. Forget physics: it's all about cats and little kids. If you have either, you should revert to having the paper come from behind lest you find a completely emptied roll next time you enter the bathroom!Q4 - Keeping It Clean:How often do you clean your bathroom? When you do clean it, do you clean certain parts--like the toilet or the sink or the shower/tub--at various times, or do you like to get the whole job done in one sitting (no pun intended)?
It's cleaned completely at least twice a month. At least, ours is. I do the powder room when it needs it, and Sparky's supposed to deal with his regularly, but he doesn't usually and I end up reminding him to do it NOW.
