The Name Game

1. What are your siblings' names? Are your names related by a theme?
Online, they are Marie, Ellen, Jean, and Del. I can't think of any theme that relates our names together: my oldest sister was named after my dad's sister; Ellen's middle name was my mom's mom's name; Jean....no idea where that came from, maybe a family friend?; Del (not that you can tell from what I'm calling him here) takes his name from my dad's favorite person in the Bible, and his middle name is my mom's brother's name. I was named by my sisters because they felt my parents had done such a bad job with them.
2. What are your pets' names?
We're down to one guinea pig named Buddy.
3. Do you give pet/nick names to your car (or other large possession)?
My dad always called his car Betsy, no matter what. We, mostly I, named my mom's cars. But I haven't done anything of the sort for years. The only time these things have names now is when I'm swearing at them: "Stupid [car]."
4. What meaning does your surname have?
I was told many years ago that the name I use means Black Death in a [specific] central European language. That made me laugh, a lot. There is a very small town in England with which I share my maiden name, and Beast's last name is quite common in that same central European language.
5. If you could name your own country or island, what would you call it?
I did this in NationStates last year. I called it Cataloger. If this were for real, I'd probably use my mom's maiden name: short, easy to spell, and unused anywhere else as a country name.
