Number Fifty-One:
If you could follow your heart and do something that would take you outside your daily existence, what would you do? How would you accomplish it? Why?
I'd love to be able to take time to do volunteer missions more often. It would be a wonderful way of combining two of my favorite things: doing meaningful work and traveling. I think, once Sparky is out of the house, I could probably talk Beast into doing more of that. Another possibility is Elderhostel, but we're not eligible for a few more years. What is your most favorite saying? What one thing (word or phrase) do you say the most?
"Sure", "Really" or "Actually" probably top the list. Around the house, with The Boys, it's usually "STOP! STOP IT NOW!" Why must boys hit each other???What one job in history would you have wanted?
All the really interesting jobs from today's perspective were probably terrifying at the time. I'm thinking of the Declaration of Independence, the discovery of the smallpox vaccine, the Civil War era, etc.
It would have been fun sitting in with Alexander Graham Bell when he figured out the telephone, though. That wouldn't have been scary. Or possibly being with Annie Sullivan and Helen Keller at the pump.
