Five on Friday (link at left) -- First Snowfall

1. Do you get snow where you live? How much?

Yes we get snow. I live in the Upper Midwest of the U.S., land of snow and humidity.

2. When was the last time it snowed in your neck of the woods?

Uhm, Friday...when I was supposed to be doing this quiz....

3. Tell us about the worst snowfall/blizzard you've been in.

There've been a few. I've been around snow my entire life, and I still love it (at least the first few storms every winter!). A couple of years ago we were on the way to a Christmas party and Beast had to do some fancy driving to avoid a cop outside of his car (which we also had to avoid hitting) parked behind someone who had gone off the road into a ditch. Mostly, I try not to drive in the snow.
But there's always all the shoveling to do at home anyway....

4. What is your favorite thing about snow?

I love to watch the flakes fall, and I love the smoothing of the landscape that happens when there is enough on the ground. Everything looks soft and cozy. Plus, if we get enough, it's a wonderful excuse for staying in the house and being lazy!

5. Imagine two ideal homes, all things being the same except climate. Do you choose to live the rest of your life somewhere that never sees a snowflake or somewhere that sees a plethora of them every winter? Why?

If I have two homes, I could have one in each place: one where the summers are cooler and one where there is only one season: warm and dry.

Uhm, yeah.

Not as much as I sometimes wish I did, but more than I should.

Hmm, did I hug Sparky when he left just now? No...so my answer would have to be Beast, yesterday.

4. Your latest complaint:

Today is the third morning in a row I have awakened with a sinus headache. This is tiresome.
