1) If you had to move 100 miles or more to the north, east, west, or south, which would you choose, where would you end up, and what's so great about there?
I'd definitely move south. I can't stand winters here. And of course, I'd like to end up in Colorado. Or maybe New Mexico.2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering?
I like twisty roads, where you can't see what's coming up for 5 miles ahead of you. Best of all are twisty dirt roads. I like the Million Dollar Highway just south of Ouray. There are so many places to explore there.3) Are you happier to start a trip or return home?
I'm always REALLY excited (and nervous sometimes) to leave. If it's been a long trip, I've also realized how nice it is to be back home. The first time I remember feeling the latter was at the end of 39 days of travel in Russia/China/Italy. I was so happy to wear different clothes from those I'd been hauling around in my suitcase!!4) Plane, train, automobile, bicycle, or foot?
You missed boat, which is probably the one way I haven't ever really traveled (unless you count a rowboat across a lake, which totally freaks me out). The others are all valid and have their good points, though I've never used a bike to 'travel.' I probably prefer cars because of speed and control, but hiking in the mountains is a pretty close second (assuming I'm in decent shape and don't have to stop every 10 yards for a breath).5) Do you overplan or underplan your travels? (Assume that "no" is not a valid answer.)
I overplan. Totally. It's genetic; my sister does it too. Maybe its a librarian thing....
