Saturday 6

Episode 126

1. How do you feel about a National ID card to replace individual state driver's licenses?
It kind of depends on what it is to be used for. It would be nice to have one federal standard ID as long as it was basically a driver's licence (or equivalent for non-drivers) and nothing else. But in the past few years I've come to really fear our federal government and would rather not have them control any more access to my 'life' than necessary!
2. Where's the most embarrassing place you've ever fallen asleep?
I don't remember ever dropping off anyplace totally weird. No classroom snoring or anything like that. I did fall asleep at work a few times at my first job, I think while I was pregnant or shortly thereafter, but I was in the workroom alone and no one 'caught' me.
3. How long does it take you, when looking at someone for the first time, to determine whether or not you are really attracted to the person?
Hmm, on visual cues alone, not long. But those visual cues can easily be overriden if the gorgeous guy turns out to be a fruitcake or dumb as a box of rocks. There's a guy who uses my library who falls into all of these categories: nice-looking, nuts, and dumb. Not so attractive.

I guess, then, it would take me long enough to have a conversation, even a short one, to decide.

4. Take the quiz: What kind of drunk are you?
I took it here. And I took it on a bad night, to boot.
5. When is the last time you were really drunk?
It's been a long time--several years--since I was blotto. I had too much to drink one night a couple of weeks ago, but "too much" is now "two drinks" so that's kind of boring.
6. What caused the condition: Alcohol or something else?
The ultimate cause is my inability to handle the er...Stuff coming down the pike at work. I shouldn't drink when I'm pissed. Pun intended.
