Friday Five

New Five, New Month

1) This is the 1st of September, what do you want to accomplish by the 31st?
I can do ANYthing by September 31st. I will be Queen of the Universe, Ruler of All the Galaxies, and stupid catalogers will quake in their boots (or "books" as I typed first) upon my approach! I have eternity to accomplish this, there's no pressure.... Reason being, there is no September 31st, this year or any year.
2) What does September make you think about or feel?
School's back in session, autumn is around the corner, and football season has begun! Woot.
3) September is the ninth month; can you name nine memories so far from this year?
In no particular order of importance:
1) Mr. Jimmy
2) The bridge to nowhere
3) The smell of Bourbon Street
4) The Gulf Coast is DAMN hot...in June (can't even understand how it can possibly get hotter...)
5) The rental place we used this summer on vacation was perfect, and next summer we get the master suite!
6) Winter sucks
7) Sparky used to be shorter than me
8) S & A announced "events" for 2007: a baby and a wedding
9) I hate S!rs!--and MAS--even more than I did last year
4) What does September have in common with three other months and can you name them?
Only four months end in "-ber" and all four of them do not designate the month of the year their names say they are. September should be the 7th month, October the 8th, etc. It's all because of those silly Caesars! [oh and the other two are November and December]

Is that what this question means? Or am I too literal?
5) The first weekend in September signals the end of summer for many even though it doesn’t really end for weeks. When does summer end for you?
Summer feels over when school starts. But the good weather isn't usually over until after the first frost, after apple-picking and pumpking selection (and hopefully after I've planted the spring bulbs this fall!).
