1. Labor Day weekend traditionally marks the end of summer. What will you miss most about summer?
Warmth. Possibly Sparky; this was kind of a fun summer for us: laid-back and easy. Now that he's back in school, I expect the tension to ratchet back up.2. What are you most looking forward to this fall?
Football, our 20th college reunion, and the first frost (for allergy relief).3. What are your plans for Labor Day weekend?
Saturday: I work all day.4. Labor Unions were the driving force behind the creation of Labor Day. How else have they impacted your life?
Sunday: church, and then we're going to my niece's house for the afternoon.
Monday: shopping with Jenny and JT.
They pretty much haven't. My parents were staunchly anti-union, as much of the West has historically been, and I don't have any love of the current situation for many unions. Having said that, I do think they serve a vital purpose when they are honest and used properly. And the pay in a union shop is phenomenal compared to non-union pay!5. Natural labor or fully medicated labor?
Bring on the drugs! I didn't get them soon enough because of a stupid-ass bitch of a nurse, and it was awful.
That's the Reader's Digest version of Sparky's birth.
