Tuesday Twosome

In your opinion...

1. What are the two worst things about people of the opposite sex? Explain:
1) The overall indifference to aesthetics, especially odor. Yes, boys, sometimes you STINK. Why can't you tell?
2) The tendency to give unwanted advice. There are times when I just want to vent; I do not want you to solve the problem. Shuddup and listen!
2. What are the two best things about people of the opposite sex? Explain:
1) Their literal-mindedness. Sometimes a cigar really is a cigar and there IS no hidden meaning. This is why they get messed up (by women) around questions like "Do I look fat in this?"
2) Their willingness to do stuff for you. You may not ever get flowers (unless you're very lucky!), but your smoke detector won't beep all the time, and your grass will get mowed regularly.
3. What are the two worst things about people of the same sex? Explain:
Wow. Only two?
1) Game-playing and sneakiness. See above re "Does this make me look fat?" This includes bitchiness and manipulation.
2) The tendency to focus on the surface of things. And I'm tossing in passive-aggressiveness here. It makes sense to me.
4. What are the two best things about people of the same sex? Explain:
1) Compassion/empathy/understanding.
2) Strength for the long haul.
5. Which would you rather have happen: dying alone with nobody to love or dying miserable because you were with someone you didn't really love? Explain:
WTF?! Either way I'm dying without love in my life. OK, but if I'm going to do the love-less thing, I'd rather be alone.

On the other hand, really we all die alone even if surrounded by a roomful of people.

I have to honestly say that this was one of the hardest lists I've made. I've left off so many good and bad points of both sexes, and of course I can think of several exceptions to all of the examples I listed. That's the problem with generalizations....
