What is the most vivid memory you have and why do you think you remember it?
I think memories are different depending on the stimulus. Some days I'd answer this as "My wedding day." Some days I'd answer "Jumping rope in the front yard." Today, I'm thinking a lot about Ouray, hiking, walking...the aura of the place, the way it smells...the scenery. I so want to go back there, to stay for a long time. It wouldn't be the same, though. Part of the reason I idealize the place is that it was a place where time stopped, I had no responsibilities to speak of, it was ok to scrounge around on my own all day, and my mom and I rarely argued.Do you think that you spend too much time on the internet?
Yup.I just got back from the State Fair where the line for a cream puff is about 30 minutes long. What is the longest line you've ever stood in? (and no, I did not wait in line for a cream puff, I don't even like cream puffs)
The longest line I've ever waited in was surely at DisneyWorld, probably the line for Dumbo. Gaaaah.Today I am painting my great room, dining room, and kitchen. Let's say you painted your walls a color that you did not like, how long would you wait before painting over it with a more likeable color? How long does it take you to decide on a paint color?
I've stood in that cream puff line--I do like 'em!--and I have stood in some killer lines in airports.
Actually, I had to wait with my group for 45 minutes when we arrived in Moscow in 1985, just to have our passports stamped. There were no guards in the little booths. OK, it was, like, 4 a.m., but still....
We take bloody FOREVER to pick colors...fear of making a mistake. That's probably good, though, since we rarely have to paint over. We're also pretty adaptable, so if a color isn't 100% perfect, we don't feel the need to change the tint. I know people who do: "it's the wrong red, it's too orange!"
However, if we did manage to use a color that was hideous, I doubt we'd do the whole wall. There would be stopping and regearing immediately, to cover it up!
