Movie Meme

from Adrienne

The first movie you remember seeing on the big screen:
The first one I remember making it through was The Sound of Music, though we went to Oliver when I was 5 and I had to be removed because Mr. Bumble scared me so.
Movie from which you can quote multiple lines in your sleep:
Monty Python (Grail and Brian). History of the World Part I. Young Frankenstein. Caddyshack. Groundhog Day. A lot of Shakespeare, but I don't really think that counts does it?
Director (dead or alive) with whom you’d most like to have dinner:
To quote Chris...meh. Directors are way overrated. The one I'd least like to be in any room anywhere, anytime with is Woody Allen. He makes me vomit.
Movie that should have won an Oscar but didn’t:
I have no idea. Probably many that were never nominated. This is not how I decide if a movie is good.

Having said all that, the Monty Python crew should get SOMEthing. And so should Bill Murray. And Mel Brooks.
Movie that didn’t disappoint despite being an adaptation from a book:
I can't think of a-one. I've liked all the Harry Potter movies, but they weren't as good as the books. At least, not yet. Haven't read the Lord of the Rings...or seen all three of the movies.

Oh! The adaptation of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" was pretty good.
Movie you were dragged to by someone else, expecting to hate but loved:
The most recent "Batman" movie. Christian Bale rocks. And it was, for a Hollywood movie, pretty coherent.
Movie that still scares the crap out of you no matter how many times you see it:
I've NEVER understood this: why would you want to see a movie over and over if it scares you?! I can't stand scary movies!

I still get spooked by "Fatal Attraction" and the soundtrack of "Silence of the Lambs" (which I did NOT see, thank you very much!).
Movie that still makes you bawl no matter how many times you see it:
I don't really watch that many movies over and over, and certainly not sad ones. Having said that, I would bet that I'd cry in "Schindler's List" every time, and probably "Saving Private Ryan" (which--say it together--I've never seen). Oh, and "Sophie's Choice."
Movie that still has you rolling around on the floor with laughter no matter how many times you see it:
Anything Monty Python-related, especially if there is a newbie around, which of course leads to RHPS, particularly if there are virgins in the room.

OK: Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Stripes, History of the World Part I, Young Frankenstein ("walk this way")....
