Thursday Threesome

::Counting Pots and Pans::

Onesome: Counting-- Do you ever have to do any form of inventory work? ...and you think what sorts of thoughts about it? Students, you aren't out of this one: what about book returns and such?
I'm currently doing an inventory at work. The plan is to finish the entire library this summer. Having now picked myself up off the floor after the hysterical laughter has subsided...it will be nice to have a faint handle on what the heck is going on in our collection. There has not been an inventory done on the collection since I've worked there (since '96), and no one else remembers doing one in the previous 10-15 years.
Sigh. What a freakin' nightmare. They should be done at least once a decade....
Twosome: Pots-- Do you/have you ever done any outdoor or camping cookery? How did it go? ...any tips for the gang?
Uh, no. Hot dogs on sticks don't count, surely? I don't do the grilling, the Husband does that. I like stoves and ovens and so forth. Outdoor cooking is too close to camping, which is not my favorite activity.
Threesome: and Pans-- What one pan could you simply not do without in the kitchen. Mark can maybe slide on this one, but I'm betting his deadpan humor will come up with something...
I don't really get attached to these kinds of cooking utensils...uhm, I guess I use our cookie sheets a lot, for everything from making flat bread to the occasional (VERY!) batch of cookies to pseudo-grilling pork tenderloins (last night) to...well, a lot. Cooking would be difficult without them. And I like my Revereware pans. A lot. Except for the polishing the bottoms everytime I use them...
