Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things about Rainy Days 1. They are very welcome when it hasn't rained in a long time! 2. Lightning and thunder at 4 a.m. is actually very soporific, at least if there are no giant booms! 3. We lost power again at 4. But it was a quick off-and-on outage this time. 4. I haven't reset my clocks yet, though. 5. We just had another dimming of the lights a few minutes ago. 6. Rainy days make me want to eat. Who knew? 7. I'd love to curl up under a blanket and sleep right now. But I have to leave for work in 2 hours or so. 8. Weather radios are really annoying. On the other hand, if I hear "Tornado Warning" coming out of ours, I'm in the basement before the voice finishes saying "-ing." 9. It was only repeating news about counties under Thunderstorm Warning last night. Oh, and Marine Warnings. 10. It looks like winter outside. 11. And I'm wearing shorts. Strange. 12. Our newly-planted trees are totally loving the rain. They were supposed to get watered about 2 hours a day every day...except we left town, and then didn't have a functional water pump when we got home, so they really haven't gotten much. Today is making up for lost time! 13. Come on, sun. Come back, soon.
