Sunday Seven

Episode 37

Pick seven TV moms that you wouldn't want to have as your own mom. If you need some ideas to get rolling, you can visit this MSNBC article about the Five Best Moms, which features a ballot at the bottom with plenty of suggestions. (You don't have to stick to that list.)
I tried to think of some before looking at the article. I can think of several I'd like but none that I wouldn't want. So, to the article I go...and find that I haven't watched a lot of these shows. Now I'll have to go on hearsay and gut feeling:

1. Carmela Soprano (wouldn't want to be involved in the Mafia)
2. June Cleaver (I'd slit my wrists if I had to try to live up to her standards!)
3. Lily Munster (never liked that show that much---she was sort of a nonentity, too)
4. Peg Bundy
5. Thelma Harper (OK I stole these last two from Patrick's list!)
6. Chandler's mom (on Friends)
7. Abby's mom (on ER)

The last two were minor characters, so I'm not sure they count, but I really couldn't think of anyone else. Most of the moms on the MSNBC list are good moms for the situations (ha ha) in which they find themselves.
