[incidentally, I'm at home, sitting in our office]

1. What is the oldest object in the room with you?
Sparky's music stand and its case. It belonged to my brother, and possibly to my sisters. In any case, it's about 40 years old.

2. What is the newest?
I'm hoping it's the box of Wheat Thins I'm munching on.

3. What is your favorite object in the room with you?
Judging by the amount of time I spend with it, probably the computer.

4. What is the most valuable object?
Valuable to whom? In terms of selling something, probably my rings.
In terms of would I want to lose it...a lot of things in here...my passport and marriage license, several filed papers of my dad's, our banking stuff...

5. What is the ugliest object?
It's not an object exactly, although it is a noun: the mess in here.
