1. What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was really little, I wanted to run a cash register. Remember, I grew up in the era of push-button cash registers. Something cost $1.99? Punch the 1, the 9, and the 9. Ditto for everything else.
I'm sure there were other things, but I don't remember ever craving them like being in charge of the cash register.
2. Did you follow through? If not, what happened?
I don't think so. I realized that grocery store clerks do not make a great deal of money, get shat on by management, and, frankly, the job is boring. [to me]
3. Is your life turning out the way you thought it would when you were a kid? If not, is it better or worse?
Pretty much. I'm meaner to my kid than I thought I'd be. :-)
4. Paradoxes aside, if you could time-travel back to when you were 10 years old, what would you tell your 10-year-old self?
Stop being such a baby. Don't be so afraid of everything. Be brave, talk to the boys. Don't hang out with Kim and Jeri next year.
5. Do you think the child you were, would like the adult you've become?
No. I'm mean. ;-)
