Yup, you smart people: it's my Dell. [ok, couldn't find my whole setup, so that's the newest part of it]
The hat is hanging precariously off one corner, ready to be grabbed when I'm really annoyed (it says "leave me alone!"). The quiet noises are because I don't have a sound card (well, this IS a library!). As for the PC abuse, that's just my joke with our tech: "What'd you break now??"
