When you opened your eyes this morning, what were your first thoughts? "Oh, ugh. Well, I could at least try to get to work...."

Is there anyone that you feel owes you an apology? If so, what has that person done? Yes. Someone I thought was a bestie has been practically silent--and completely unconscious--about the situation I've found myself in this last quarter of the year. Weird. I've spent hours trying to figure it out.

What’s the most unhealthy thing you’ve eaten recently? Does a can of Vienna sausages, unheated, count? Otherwise, when I first got back home from work, I had a couple of chocolate chip cookies.

Be honest. Have you had any dirty thoughts today? Not regarding sex.

Do you remember the last dream you had about the person you love/like? I've no doubt that Beast was in my dreams last night. I don't remember anything about the dream(s) at all, though.

What is one thing in the room you’re in that reminds you of somebody? Sparky's senior (H.S.) picture is across the room smirking at me. I'm glad he was home last weekend before I started feeling awful.

Could you ever be friends with somebody who was homophobic? There are degrees of friendship. I'm not even going to try to "convert" them, but they are going to get super-tired of me being all rainbow-y, I suspect.

Would you ever want to be a supermodel, or date one? Pretty much sounds like hell to me.

Honestly, have you ever made fun of somebody so bad they cried? Not for a very long time. I try, hard, to stop teasing if it looks like the person is taking it to heart.

Have you ever purchased a pregnancy test, for yourself or otherwise? Well, I mean, yeah, but not for 25 years.

How did you meet your best friend? Did you like them at first? My very-best, long-time friend I met at the first band class Freshman Year in college; yes, we bonded quickly. Other besties: kismet; and yes for the most part.

Do you find it harder to apologize or to accept apologies? Depends on the situation. Some people just don't know how to apologize (hah!), but I struggle with each in different situations.

Have you ever had toilet paper stuck to your shoe? I'm sure I have. Do I remember it being a big deal? No, I do not.

You can get one thing, anything, for free right now. What do you pick? Why? Peace of mind. No, really, that's free already. I guess I'd like to have someone taking care of the finances and really getting me back on my feet in that area.

Have you ever tried writing with the opposite hand? How good/bad was it? Not for awhile. I'm sure it's not good, but probably still better than the men in my family write normally.

Would you try to frame somebody else if your mom committed a murder? That's one thing I definitely do not have to worry about!

Honestly, have you ever danced naked? In the house, sure, usually while getting dressed with music playing. Nowadays, that just sounds very dangerous.

What was the first illegal thing that you did? Did you get caught? I stole something from the grocery store, and no I didn't get caught. It wasn't worth it, though.

Sex, menstruation, or puberty - which is the most uncomfortable subject? I'm a mom. I've talked about all of these things with my son.

What is the home page on the computer you’re on? I literally have at least 8 pages set to open when I restart the computer. Right now I have 17 tabs open, plus Spotify and 2 notepad docs.

What does the comforter on your bed look like? Did you pick it out? It's a blue bedspread with seashells and stuff embossed on it. I picked it out.

When you picture flowers in your head, what color are they? White and yellow.

The last time you went to the mall, what did you go for? Uhm, I can't think of the last time I was at an indoor mall. It's been at least 2 years. There isn't one within 40 minutes of my house, so it's just easier to buy shit online.

What do you plan to do tomorrow? I have an appointment to talk about money (see above) with someone I trust. I just feel stupid and useless about everything and I want 1) someone to tell me it's going to be ok; 2) someone to figure out wtf is actually going on with all the disparate parts of my "portfolio" and how to consolidate it more easily; and 3) find all the things I need to know/have but can't find.

If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Would you take anyone with you? I would love to be on Ydra. Alone.

What is your preferred writing implement (eg. blue pen, pencil, green pen)? I like pencil. I like the texture of it on paper, and I like that if I goof up, I can tidy up.

Favourite month and why? Since it's currently freezing cold, I'm saying April or May, before it gets muggy, but the trees are greening up and it's warmer.

Do you have connections to any celebrities (even minor)? List them. Some distant cousin (?) was a newscaster in Cleveland. Otherwise, there's no one. I guess you could count that Sparky has a YouTube channel on which he broadcasts, and my nephew Jesse was a city council member for awhile.

What’s the best job you’ve ever had? I'm pretty fortunate in the job I'm in now.

What’s your favourite candy/chocolate? I've been eating a lot of Butterfinger lately. Usually it tends to be less chocolatey and more pure sugar, but they haven't had Skittles where I usually get my fix.

Have you had other blogs on Tumblr? Do you have any other blogs currently? I don't use Tumblr, though it's possible I have an account somewhere. I have a plethora of blogs, though this is the only one I actively use with some sense of regularity these days.

If you were suddenly really hungry, what would you choose to eat? Seriously hungry? Cheese.

What fandoms would you consider yourself a part of? I don't actually "do" fandom anymore.

If you could study anything, what would it be? Ancient Greek.

Do you use anything on your lips (eg. chapstick, gloss, balm, lipstick)? Chapstick. I have a canker sore on my upper lip this week making me nuts, probably due to this stupid cold thing.

How would you describe your sense of humour? I prefer absurdity. And puns.

What kind of position are you in at the moment? I'm going to answer this as if it means how I'm currently sitting: on the sofa with the recliner thingy up under my legs. Not leaning back though, just sitting, with my laptop on my legs.

Do you enjoy driving? Why or why not? Yes. It's relaxing, for the most part, where I live. Though since I'm the only driver in the household for the last 18 months, it does get old.

What is on the floor of the room you’re currently in, not including furniture? Two pairs of shoes. The instruction booklet from this computer (just found it again last night while cleaning), three books, a box with a gift for Beast from my oldest niece Elizabeth, a Happy Birthday gift bag with a baby alien and lots of tissue paper in it, some junk mail....there's a runner (rug) in front of the hearth. And a trash can and several charger cables plugged in across the room.

How many devices do you own which can access the internet? Well, there are two laptops within 3 feet of me. Another in the office. Two phones. Beast's Nook (mine is broken, so no dice there). Technically, I think our printers can probably do things online, and obviously the DirecTV box does stuff online somehow.

Is there anything that is guaranteed to always make you happy? Baby giggles.

Is there anything that always makes you sad? Child abuse.

What programs do you currently have open? I've got a kazillion tabs open in Chrome, Calculator, Spotify, and Notepad.

What do you associate the colour red with? Beast. It's his favorite. Also blood, which isn't really red, by the way, when it's been hanging around in the world for awhile.

Last strong smell you can remember smelling? The house I was visiting this morning had a super-strong "Christmas" scented candle near me. The fact that I can smell anything at all was pretty amazing!

Last healthy thing you ate? I had a ham salad sandwich earlier. OK, not super-healthy, but the bread is good bread with nuts and seeds, and I didn't butter it. The ham salad is homemade (not by me) and yuuuummmmmy.

Do you drink tea or coffee, and how much per day? I had tea for the first time in months on Tuesday. I never drink coffee.

What do you associate the colour blue with? Calm. The sky. Possibility.

How long is the closest ruler you can find? There's a triangular ruler in the catalog drawer across the room, and I think there's a paper ruler from one hospital or another that came home at some point this fall.

What colour pants/skirt/etc are you currently wearing? I'm wearing dark blue and orange plaid pajama pants. Fourth day in a row. Living the life.

When was the last time you drank water? It's what I've got in the glass on the end-table, so maybe 5 minutes ago.

Last formal event you attended. I attended a funeral this summer.

If you had to move your birthday to another date, which one would you choose and why? I'd like it to not be in November, which is a super-dismal month and a horrible birthstone, but otherwise I'm not fussy.

Would you prefer to be at a beach or in the countryside? Round here, you can do both without working too hard on it. Generally, though, I'd rather being in the countryside in the mountains.

Roughly how many people live in your town? The "village" in which I live has about 4,000 people. The town where I work has just over 25,000.

Do you know anyone with the same birthday as you? Yes. I went to high school with two other girls born on the same day, in the same hospital as I was. Weirdly, my mother-in-law's birthday was my half-birthday.

Favourite place to shop? Can be a certain store or a place where there are multiple stores. Online. I really hate shopping.

Do you have a smartphone? What kind? If you don’t, do you want one? I have a Samsung Galaxy5. Works lovely.

What is your least favourite colour, and why? I'm not a big fan of yellows in general, especially muddy- or greenish-yellows. The color of gold kind of grosses me out.

How do you spell grey/gray? I use the 'a' version mostly. Once in awhile the 'e' version creeps in.

What difference is there between how many followers you have, and the number of blogs you follow? Looks like there are 47 "official" followers on my blog. I have a feed setup with close to 200 sites on it.
