The Friday 56

(Found here)
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that's ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don't spoil it)
*Post it.
I normally can't play this because my reading material isn't usually near where my laptop lives. This week, for whatever reason I'm surrounded by books I'm reading (or skipping through, or slogging it out in).

The Slog first:
The Codependent No More Workbook, by Melody Beattie
Page 56: "It's not my job to tell you how to understand your Higher Power."

The Skipping:
Forever in Love (love poetry)
Page 56: "The challenge is to ... turn "I Do" into "We Can." --Scott Stanley
(and that is the sum total of the writing on that page)

The Fun Stuff:
The Search for Richard III : The King's Grave, by Philippa Langley and Michael Jones
Page 56: "We're about to play a very expensive and advanced game of Battleships."
(haven't even reached that page in the book yet....sigh)

The Ravenclaw Chronicles : Reflections from Edinboro
Page 56: "The glorified King's Cross is thus a real place--a kind of limbo between life and death."
(haven't gotten that far in this book either--but I know what they're discussing. Do you?)

Stealing this. Haven't read Codependent No More in *decades.* But back when I did read it cover to cover,it had a huge impact on me.

I read or skimmed almost all those books back in the day. I was working for a crazy person who bought them ALL for the library collection. Full circle--now I'm reading them with actual intent.

I'm swiping this--a day late.

You have me piqued by them all. :-)
Wishing you the best in 2017!

Just for the title of The Ravenclaw Chronicles just for the title alone. :)
