1. Do you call the front room of your home a “living room” or “parlor”?
"Living room." We don't even have a den (or a proper dining room) in this house, because I don't believe in "formal" rooms. A "parlor" is, for me, reserved for ice cream and brothels. And I think I just described the dream locale of a diabetic porn addict.2. Do you use the term “study” or “den” for that extra room in your home?
Heh, I should read ahead. Were I going to have a room to chillax separately from the living room, I'd call it a den, or if it were really for playing, a "rec room" or "playroom" or "game room." Or--old concept alert!--a "rumpus room." "Studies" are rooms in which someone would work, surrounded by bookshelves and paper.3. Is your “funny bone” or “crazy bone” at your elbow?
Funny bone. Hume/or(o)us, after all.g4. Do you sit on a “couch” or “sofa”?
In my house it's a "couch." I occasionally throw out the word "sofa" but I'm usually gonna be talking about a grandma sofa--pretty but not comfy.5. Are there “cabinets” or “cupboards” in your kitchen?
"Cupboards" are the insides of the uppers. "Cabinets" are the whole thing, top and bottom.6. Do you take out the “garbage” or the “trash”?
I grew up exclusively taking out the "trash." In Wisconsin, I discovered the word "garbage" was used at least equally, maybe more even. However, "garbage" to me is the stinky stuff you put out at the curb for hauling away, but "trash" is generally 'dry' stuff--paper, wrappers, etc.--that goes into the garbage outside.
