Sunday Stealing (times 2)

(Link in meme-roll)
The 17 Meme

1. Do you know triplets?
I'm quite familiar with the musical kind--they're one of my favorites--and I know a set of 11-year-old triplets.
2. Do you prefer Titanic or The Notebook?
I haven't seen the latter, and only parts of the former, and to be honest I'd really rather listen to nails on a chalkboard.
3. Have you ever eaten Indian food?
Why yes. Yes, I have. Yum. OK, to be fair, it was English Indian food, so if that's anything like American Chinese food, it's probably not very authentic.
4. What’s the name of your favorite restaurant?
Since you're asking right now, Cootie Brown's was a lot of fun, and pretty good food. AND! Not a chain--that's all my nephew-in-law eats at, I think: chain restaurants....
5. Who’s your favorite person in the world?
I have a lot of favorites: Beast (Best Husband), Sparky (Best Son), Jet (Best Non-Biological Son), Amy (Best Gets-My-Weird-Jokes), Jenny (Best-Do-You-Remember-the-Time...), T. (Best Pet-Sitter), M. (Best On-the-Same-Wavelength-at-Work), etc.
6. Would you rather live in a rural area or in the suburbs?
Burbs. Really rural would make me really insane really fast. I need shops and other people and libraries and all.
7. Can you whistle?
Ayup.
8. Do you sleep with a nightlight?
There are lights on in the house overnight, but in the hall so we don't kill ourselves. Actually, I could probably repurpose one of them, now that Sparky's not at home anymore....
9. Do you eat breakfast every morning?
I do.
10. Do you take any pills or medication daily?
I do.
11. How many times have you been to the hospital as a patient?
Once to give birth, once for surgery, and once in the ER for a kidney stone, but they bounced me from that visit since I seemed to be fine.
12. Have you ever seen Finding Nemo?
No, much to my shame, and Sparky's amazement and disgust, I have not.
13. Where do you buy your jeans?
F&F or Kohl's. Or Old Navy. Whoever has my size at the best price.
14. What’s the last compliment you got?
My co-Sunday School teacher told me I was on his don't-pick-on list today. I take that as a compliment.
15. Do you usually remember your dreams in the morning?
Sometimes. I ran over a dog in a dream last night. On South Street, between the city high school and my workplace (though I wasn't involved in either place in the dream). The dog was on one of those extendable leashes and it's owner was on the corner and didn't reel it in so I ran over the leash AND the dog. No idea what this means.
16. What flavor tea do you enjoy?
Plain English Breakfast or Earl Grey, black. And strong.
17. What social media sites do you use?
Blogger and Facebook, for the most part. I've had a Twitter account for 3-4 years, but I almost never use it. I do get a lot of notifications of people @ing me though. In French. What do my initials mean in French, I wonder??

The Yeah Meme

Do you have another window or tab open? If so, what are they for?
As always at home, I have my sound control open, and two Chrome windows open; one of those has GoodReads and a randomizer site open, the other has tabs for InoReader, Bloggers, Facebook, Gmail and the site for Cootie Brown's.
Do you like to cook/bake?
I don't mind the actual cooking, assuming I have the ingredients on hand. I don't bake much anymore though because then I eat it. And cooking just annoys me.
What are you currently listening to?
Clocks ticking.
How long have you lived in the house you live in?
Ten years and five months.
Are you tired?
Is the Pope Catholic? I'm always tired.
Do you pick your words carefully, or just tend to blurt everything out?
Generally, I'm a blurter, but occasionally I slow down enough to be semi-tactful.
Are you nice to everyone?
By and large, yes.
Have you ever tripped in public?
Jeez, of course. It's why I grew up thinking my middle name was Grace!
Are you a morning person or a night person?
Morning.
Is it easier to forgive or forget?
Forget, lately.
Is there something that’s recently shocked you?
My great-nephew's behavior was a little shocking--he's a bit of a spoiled brat. My brother-in-law patting my ass when I hugged him goodbye should have shocked me, but if you have read my blogs long enough you probably know that he's done worse. Actually, I have to be honest: most of the behavior I witnessed this week was shocking only in its overall pleasantness.
Which is harder: walking away from somebody you love or coming back?
Walking away. This afternoon was another Drop Kid Off at College day. I didn't cry, but it's never easy.
What were you doing at midnight last night?
SuhLEEEEEPing!
What color are your eyes?
Hazel. Today, they seem a little more toward the green end of the spectrum.

I had a dissolving teeth dream the other night. And that same night I had a dream about James Spader. How weird and random.
