Time Keeps on Slippin'
1) Do you think Daylight Saving Time is still necessary?
I've never really understood the reasoning, but I think we should really just split the difference at a half an hour and be done with the whole arrangement. Except, I'm not sure I'd remember to change the smoke alarm batteries. (she says as she goes to get a battery for her clock radio backup and realizes she doesn't have enough 9volts for all the smoke detectors in this house)2) How long does it take you to adjust to the time change?
I'm all set. Although, I'll bet tomorrow night after work I'll be a little freaked out.3) What's the hardest part of the time change?
This is the easy one: extra sleep is never a problem!4) How many clocks are in your house?
Too freakin' many! There are two in the living room (DVD player and actual clock), three in the kitchen, four (at least) upstairs, a couple (maybe) in the office, and who knows how many in the basement and garage. Thank God our phones turn over automatically.5) Are you generally early, late, or on time?
I used to always be at least 10 minutes early, but I've gotten really lazy in the last few years and generally walk in right on time or occasionally a little late. Shame, shame.6) If an invitation to an event listed the time as 8-11pm, what time would you arrive?
What kind of event? If it's a party, I'd ask when I called to RSVP about this. Otherwise, I'd just show up at about 8:15 or a little later.7) Do you wear a watch?
Nope.8) Have you ever glanced at the time and had to glance again because you didn't pay attention the first time?
Part of the reason I stopped wearing a watch....9) Are most of your clocks digital or dial?
Digital. But we still have a few round ones. When Sparky was small, I made a point of having analog clocks so he would know how to read them. I think he still knows how! :-)10) What does your alarm clock sound like?
The Bose is tuned to the local radio station because the woman who is on in the a.m. has THE most annoying voice! I'm outta there as soon as I hear her voice! My phone plays Reveille.11) Do you use the snooze feature on your alarm clock?
Yes, usually 4-5 days a week.12) Does clock ticking drive you nuts?
Nope, I find it comforting, but we had to move the Packers clock out of Beast's bedroom when he was about 13 because the loud ticking made him nuts.
3 sweet-talkers :
I'm not a big fan of the whole time change thing either. Apparently the origins of it are to save energy back in the 70's. Maybe somebody needs to inform the powers that be that it's actually 2013 now.. Just a thought..
Stopping by from Sunday Stealing.
Happy Sunday!
I forgot we're supposed to check our smoke detectors with the time changes. Oops, better get on that. Have a fabulous week!
