The Grocery Store Meme

1. Do you make a list when you go grocery shopping?

Yes. Always. Otherwise I get overwhelmed and forget what I need. Even WITH a list, I forget stuff.

2. Do you buy more groceries when you're hungry?

I buy more groceries when I'm not paying attention to what I'm buying. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm hungry or not.

3. Coupons. Use 'em?

Nope. Waste of my time; I noticed years ago that most items that have coupons are for things I probably shouldn't be buying anyway--junk food, etc.--or things I get at Sam's Club--laundry detergent, etc.

4. Have you ever complained to the manager of your grocery store?

Yes. I was really angry about something many years ago. I have no idea what.

5. Do you like to buy groceries at huge chain stores like WalMart? Or do you shop exclusively at food stores?

WalMart is definitely cheaper; I don't mind shopping there though they stock weirdly: 700 kinds of pizza, and one brand of cheese. And the checkers make me crazy; do they HAVE to hire the strangest people available to work as . slowly . as . possible ? If I'm in a hurry and need something fairly normal, I go to the little locally-owned store for it; much faster to get around inside and the checkers come with brain cells.

6. How much time do you spend reading labels in the grocery store?

Not much.

7. Do you push your own grocery cart to the car and return it?

I feel like a total loser asking someone else to load my groceries; I haven't done that in all my adult life. And I'm about 50% on returning the cart to the 'corrals.' Sometimes I'm just too damn lazy or cold to be bothered and I park it between parking lanes.

8. What is the one food item you always buy at the grocery store that you can't live without?

We'd be hurtin' puppies without cheese. And/Or pop.
