Call Me

1. Who is someone that phones you routinely that you never seem to be up to talk to, but you are not ready to push them out of your life?
I'm not much of a phone talker anymore, but the person who sprung to mind here immediately was Linda. I seriously can't be around her very long; she's toxic. Nothing in her life is ever going right. Ever. Nothing. It's horrible to listen to, and of course her fighting against everything just makes it so much worse in every way, so it's a horrible cycle.
2. What is something that affects you deeply, to your core, no matter your mood or what else is going on in your life?
Baby giggles, especially if they go on for awhile. Hard not to cheer up when babies are chortling.
3. Tell us of something that relaxes you and always makes you happy.
Listening to fun music. Nothing heavy or arty or angsty.
4. If you could take the train from anywhere to anywhere, where would 'anywhere' be?
It would be sort of fun to take Amtrak all the way across the country, or do Eurail from Turkey to Sweden. But I will absolutely stipulate that I will require a berth--I'm not sleeping sitting up. My days of second- or third-class long-distance tickets on trains are behind me, I think.
5. If you could look into the future, how far down the road would you like to see? 10 years? 100 years? A million?
I would absolutely NOT want this. I have no interest in seeing all the horrors the future has in store for me and my loved ones. The only reason I would even consider this would be if I were diagnosed with something terminal and fast: I would want to see my son graduate and the first few years of his adulthood.
6. Did you do your shopping online for this Christmas? How did it go? Did things come in on time? Any significant failures? ...and if you didn't, will you consider trying online shopping sometime this year?
I didn't do anything online, which is actually kind of odd. I usually do a lot online. OK, wait, I bought convention tix and a magazine subscription for Sparky online, but neither has actually arrived yet so I have no idea if that will work out.
7. What people or projects are worth your time, money or effort?
My family, my close friends, long-term projects at work and my job in general. I dunno. I could go on and on. I have to say, though, that if I reach a point where I feel like my job isn't worthwhile, I should probably find another job.
8. Think back when you were in high school. Are you proud of the way you dressed, or do you wish you could go back and change it all?
I would like to be able to wear jeans to school, thanks. My mom was old and thought jeans on girls were inappropriate. In the late 70s. Yeah. Otherwise, I dressed fine for my standards. She would probably have argued, but...oh well. At the time, I craved more Gunne Sax in my wardrobe, but where would I have worn them??
9. Do any of your friends, family or co-workers know about your blogs? For those that do, did you tell them or have they stumbled upon it by themselves?
A few know. Most don't. Since I don't use my real name and rarely include real names of people who don't read the blog(s), it's unlikely that they'd find it/them by accident.

I'd say you stay as anonymous as anyone! I respect that. I really did not have that option. Although, not using my real name is a big plus...
