1. Hot chocolate or apple cider? cider, with caramel and nutmeg in it
2. Turkey or Ham? Whatever someone else cooks...
3. Do you get a Fake or Real you cut it yourself Christmas tree? Fake. I'm intrigued by the notion of a "Fake you cut it yourself tree."
4. Decorations on the outside of your house? No. Not my house.
5. Snowball fights or sledding? Yeah, no.
6. Do you enjoy going downtown shopping? I don't mind going downtown to wander around, but shopping is not my thing.
7. Favorite Christmas song? Silent Night. Maybe O Holy Night.
8. How do you feel about Christmas movies? I could easily go the rest of my life without seeing one, honestly.
9. When is it too early to start listening to Christmas music? Theologically, we aren't supposed to start Christmas hymns till Christmas Eve and then only sing them through Epiphany. I'm ok, with that.
10. Stockings before or after presents? Before!
11. Carolers, do you or do you not watch and listen to them? Yes, I watch and listen. And sometimes participate.
12. Go to someone else’s house or they come to you? We usually stay here.
13. Do you read the Christmas Story? ...at church, yes.
14. What do you do after presents and dinner? OK, here's my Christmas morning: get up about 7. Start the coffee, if appropriate. Read Santa's note. Turn on Christmas music. Check to see if Jesus arrived in the creche. Light the Christmas candle. Take down stockings. Start opening presents in stockings. Take pictures throughout. Move on to larger gifts under the tree. Blow out Christmas candle Clean up paper. Make list of what everyone got (for thank yous). Break out the candy and cookies, and do whatever people want to do for the rest of the day, noshing as we feel the need. There is no "dinner" at my house. Hell no, I'm not cooking on Christmas!
15. What is your favorite holiday smell? Pine.
16. Ice skating or walking around the mall? Staying home, thanks.
17. Do you open a present or presents on Christmas Eve, or wait until Christmas day? We've split the family custom so that we each get to choose one gift under the tree on Christmas Eve, and do the rest on Christmas morning.
18. Favorite Christmas memory? The Barbie Dream House year...
19. Favorite Part about winter? SPRING! [I do like a good blizzard, but only if I'm home and don't need to go out in it, or leave the house for a couple of days afterwards.]
20. Ever been kissed under mistletoe? Yup.
