Thursday Thunks

(Link in blogroll)
Disease, Sesame Street, Flowers..Oh MY!

1. Mad Cow disease, Bird Flu, Swine Flu...what barnyard animal will cause the next big outbreak of disease?
My first thought was turkeys, but that'll kill Thanksgiving and that's nothing to joke about! So...gotta be sheep. They are that stupid anyway. Cute-ish, but dump as a box of rocks.
2. Sesame Street turns 40 this month. If you were to be on Sesame Street, which character would you want to be in a scene with?
NOT Elmo or Zoe. Waa-aa-aay too squeaky. How about Grover? Is he still on? He was always my favorite. Or Bert. Bert makes me laugh.
3. We are out shopping for a new laptop. Which one do you pick and why?
Get a netbook. They are adorable and 100% functional. 'Course, I don't have one, so why listen to me?
4. Have you ever dried a flower in a book (pressing)? If so what was the flower and the name of the book?
I have. It was a rose from the first bouquet I ever received from a BOY, and it was pressed in my parents' unabridged dictionary. Once it was fully dried, I put it in another fold of waxed paper inside my journal.
5. Do you think it's important to study other planets? If so, why or why not?
Sure. Seeing others that are so variable teaches us more about ours and how unique it is. But please don't make me do the studying, ok? Not my thing.
6. Have you ever walked out of a movie at the theater? What was the movie, how much was the ticket and why did you walk out?
I don't think I have actually left. We took a bunch of kids to "Snow Dogs" and I would have left had I not been responsible for the safety of 6 kids. It was awful, but it was Sparky's birthday choice.
7. Does the city/town you live in have traffic enforcement cameras? Have you ever gotten a citation/ticket/fine from one? If so, did you pay or fight it?
HAH! The village in which I live has two--count 'em, two--cops. The city where I work has no cameras of which I'm aware. And so, no, because the only ticket I've ever gotten was in another nearby village with two cops. Sigh.
8. If your neighbor is having a baby would you buy a baby gift for them?
Yup. I love baby-stuff shopping! I have a collection of things I need to send to my niece, in fact...thanks for the reminder. She's due in about 27 days.
9. How many questions are too many questions?
Green jumping hardly bang sewer. [translation: I dunno]
10. Do you have a handwritten journal you write in everyday?
Nope. I have a blog.
11. Have you already made plans for 2010?
I know we're going to Vegas in January. Otherwise...not so much. It's pretty much one day at a time around here right now.
12. Thursday Thunks has a huge party for all those who play along each week. Where is the party, how long does it last and does Kimber fall off the roof dropping crayons? If so, what color of crayon does she fall on?
The party is far away from my house, runs very late (or early), has a loud and very bad band, and Kimber falls on top of them. Crayons are too smart to aim for.
13. We may have "blogger celebrity" questions in the near future. Are you excited?
OOOOOO-EEEE, wow! Yippee.

Yes.
