Saturday 6
1. What is the last thing you purchased for yourself, other than basics like groceries?
Sadly, I fear it was laundry baskets this afternoon at Farm & Fleet (along with Mason jars for a youth group thing at church). My life is pretty prosaic. I did buy nylons to wear with a skirt last Sunday at my mom's memorial service....does that count? And a T-shirt from Red Rocks thus proving myself no longer a native, but a lousy tourist. Sigh....2. What is the last thing you purchased for someone else?
Guinea pig food, along with the laundry baskets and youth group stuff. Unless the youth group stuff counts as "someone else"?3. If you were to win a lottery, what is the first charity you’d donate to?
Easy: CAI. In my mom's name.4. If you won that lottery, what is the first "luxury" you’d buy for yourself?
Does paying off the mortgage count? That would be a luxurious moment: being 100% debt-free. After that, maybe a new car...?5. Take the quiz: Do You Put Yourself First or Last?
Before I even took the quiz, I was pretty sure of the result...6. When is the last time you spent an entire weekend putting yourself first?Better than I expected, honestly.
You Put Yourself Somewhere in the Middle You've gotten quite good at not putting yourself last, but you don't ever seem to manage to put yourself first.
You manage to get by, but sometimes you can't help but feel like stress is getting the better of you.
While you may not be able to put yourself first all the time, give it a try every so often.
It may be hard to do, but it's really just as simple as saying "no" more often. The world will be fine without you, even if you drop out for a day.
Last weekend might count. Before that...months. At least.
And wasn't this just really freakin' depressing.... sigh
