The Redundant Basics
I. What does the name say on your birth certificate? My dad's last name and two girl's names.
II. What is the name that all your friends call you by? Some call me by one of of those girl's names, and some call me Cat.
III. What day of the year do you blow out the candles? On my birthday, if I have a cake.
IV. Which country authorized your passport? The U.S.
V. What are you Zodiac and Chinese signs? I'm a Scorp. And a rabbit. They seem somewhat mutually exclusive, don't you think?
VI. In terms of politics, do you sit on the right or the left? Generally, left. I'm a little bit of a fiscal conservative, though.
VII. Look in the mirror. The color of your hair is what? Brown, ash, reddish, a tiny bit of gray showing in spots.
VIII. Look in the mirror one more time, what color are your eyes? Hazel.
IX. Hop on the weighing scales! OK. No way I'm telling what the number reads, though, because it's more than two stone more than it should.
X. Stand up straight! 171 cm.
Home Sweet Home
I. Who are all those other people living in your house? Just us chickens: me, Beast, Sparky.
II. Do you get along with Mom or Dad better? In the past, I got along better with Dad. I'm never sure how to answer that now.
III. What do your parent's friends call them? Not going the crude direction... They call my mom by her first name--shared with a certain blue-and-white-gingham-wearing Kansas girl--which is QUITE disconcerting when they are younger than I am!
IV. Any siblings living outside the house? None of us live with Mom, and none of my sibs and I live in the same town as another.
V. What's the name of the place you live in currently? Flat As A Bleedin' Pancake!
VI. You love it there, dont you? I like the house. I am not enamored of the climate.
VII. If you could live absolutely anywhere on Earth, what location would you choose? Greece. With the internet.
VIII. Out of all those blood related to you, immediate or other, which single person would you list as your favorite? My eldest niece.
IX. Who is one you wish you didn't share blood with? There really isn't ANYone I hate, but I could go a long time without seeing Katherine. And I have.
X. Overall, you like Mom's side of the family more, or Dad's? Uh? I never knew either of their families well at all, and those I met were older than dirt. I'll give Dad's side the lean based on his cousin whose watercolor graces our living room as it has for 22 years now.
Knowledge Is Power
I. First things first, private or public school? I went to public schools through grade 12, spent four years at a small, private liberal arts school, and got my Master's at a state school.

III. What is/are the class(es) you can't wait to get to? Plock.
IV. How about the class you consider bedtime? I don't think I ever actually fell asleep in class. I hated with a passion Freshman College English, though.

VII. Are you an English/Art, or a Math/Science person? More the former than the latter.
VIII. What sports do/have you played: I played basketball in 7th grade and volleyball in 9th. I'm not a team sports kind of girl. Dad & I used to hack around on a tennis court occasionally.
IX. When the teacher checks the homework, do you usually get a "0" or a "100"? 100.
Confidentiality & Beliefs
I. What's your worst fear? Failure.
II. Have you ever acted troubled, just to get attention? I never needed to act. Frankly, I never really WAS troubled, either.
III. Do you believe in God? Yes.
IV. Do you have a secret that you'll take to the grave with you? Of course.
V. Have you ever told somebody you loved them, when secretly you didn't at all? I've said it when I was really fuckin' pissed off (inside) about stuff.
VI. (Friends, Religion, Politics, Family, Education, & Relationships) Organize the previous six in order of your personal preference in life: God, (not religion), Family, Friends, Education, Politics. What's the deal with relationships? I would put that in with either family or friends.
VII. If you could change one thing about your physical looks, what would it be? Weight.
IX. Have you ever cried in front of someone, and felt ashamed of it? Sure. Yesterday, in fact.
X. Have you ever done drugs? Nothing illegal.
The Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Music
I. If you had to pick, what's your favorite song of the moment? Well, since I don't have to, I won't.
II. Do you get most of your music from the internet, or from the store? The stuff I've purchased is from the store. I listen to a lot of stuff online, though.
III. Even though you can download music, do you still buy cds just because of the cd-case, CD itself, booklet, or just general authenticity? I have never downloaded a song.
IV. What lone genre of music do you prefer above all? Rock.
V. What genre of music would you never be caught dead with? Most rap/hip-hop or most (sung) opera.
VI. What band/artist has impacted your life the most? Probably U2. They just keep showing up.
VII. What band/artist makes you cringe? Britney, not so much for her music, but for her hellaciously bad choices.
VIII. How many music files do you have on your computer? About...none.
IX. How many are legal? By definition: none. Or all. You decide.
X. What instruments can you play? Piano, sorta. Flute, rustily.
The Small & Silver Screens
I. What's your favorite movie? Heathers.
II. Generally, what genre of movies do you jump at the oppurtunity to see? (Action, Adventure, Comedy, Horror, Drama, Romance, Science Fiction) Comedy, Documentary (no, I know it wasn't on the list, but too bad).
What the hell happened to III.?
IV. Do you cry during/after certain movies? I cry in virtually every movie!
V. What time of day do you prefer to see movies at (morning/noon/night): Matinee. I.e., cheap.
VI. What is the TV show you never miss? I prefer not to miss CSI, TAR and Survivor. I also try to catch Dirty Jobs & Deadliest Catch.
VII. What is it you like about it so much? They are well-done, randomly funny/weird, and interesting.
VIII. Whats the one TV show you can't stand? Did you notice a giant lack of TV comedy? There hasn't been a decent comedy on that I've enjoyed in decades. Also, no AI.
IX. Do you think you spend more time watching the television or using the computer? Computer. No contest.
X. Do you personally think that you spend too much time watching TV? Let's put it this way: the TV is on more often than I'd like.
Bon Appetite
I. What's your favorite meal? Homemade mac & cheese with sausage of some variety.
II. How about your favorite desert? Tiramisu.
III. When only a kid, did you eat your vegetables? Mom always had overcooked veggies with meals. We had to eat some of everything served.
IV. Do you still eat vegetables? I cook 'em better, or eat 'em raw, but yeah.
V. Are you a poor, average, or excellent cook? Fair.
VI. What type of food do you prefer? Italian.
VII. Salt or pepper? I rarely salt my food, either whiel cooking OR while eating. So Pepper it is.
VIII. Ketchup or mustard? Mustard.
IX. Do you prefer going out to breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Yes.
X. Do you eat to live or live to eat? Both.
All's Fair In Love and War
I. Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend/crush? I have a husband. That's plenty of trouble!
II. Are you in love? Or are you using them? I love him, even throught this patch.
III. Do you find most of the time you dislike the people that like you and vice versa? I seem to be over this sort of neurosis.
IV. In terms of relationships, are you loving or manipulative? Mostly loving.
V. Do you live to love? or would you rather love to live? Plock. I can't think this hard right now.
VI. Do you believe that sex should come before or after marriage? I think there are good points in either plan, but generally think it should be deployed post-firm-commitment.
VII. Do you plan to marry? If so, at what age? I got married at 22, and am still married.
VIII. Do plan to have children, if so how many? One is good.
IX. Are your parents married or divorced? I think they qualify as separated.
X. Do you want to have a big, spectacular wedding with everyone you know invited or a small, traditional, get-together with family and close-friends wedding? Small was good. If there should ever be a next time, it will be us and a judge.
