Friday 5

(Link in blogroll)
Twofer Friday due to Tech Issues...

Annoyances

1. What’s something people do in public that really annoys you, even though it’s probably not a big deal?
Walk slowly in front of me!
2. How readily do you ask strangers to stop their annoying behavior?
Never. The only time I'd say something is if there was literally no escape--somebody belching or talking incessantly in the seat next to me on a flight or that sort of thing.
3. What’s something you do in public that probably annoys others?
I apparently drive too slow for some people.
4. What’s your theory about why it’s so easy to get annoyed when one is behind the wheel of a vehicle?
I think it has something to do with being enclosed in what feels like one's own personal space when we're in our cars. We're cut off from each other and clearly everyone is going somewhere different (i.e., we don't share a common goal) so it's mob mentality. When people get stuck for a long time in traffic that sometimes changes and you can see people starting to work together or at least acknowledge each other.
5. What regular, minor annoyance have you learned to tolerate?
I learned a long time ago to ignore Stupid Parental Behavior, at least at work. Normally, I can ignore screaming children as well.

Sediment

1. When was the last time you had your hands in dirt?
Wow. Uh, the last time I planted something, I guess. I need to dig up the iris rhizomes later and cut them apart (anyone want some?) in a month or so, and I'm buying a peony bush and maybe some more roses...ok, what was the question?
2. When was the last time you had your hands in clay?
About the last time I helped with an art project for Sparky, so 3rd grade?? :-)
3. When was the last time you had your feet in mud?
Literally: last week-ish when it rained and I had on flip-flops. Metaphorically: all winter.
4. When was the last time you had your feet in sand?
WAY too long ago. I like burying my feet in hot sand. Maybe while we're on our mission trip we'll get to a warm beach and I can do this.
5. What part of your life could use a serious cleansing?
I think my friends and I can agree that my soul needs a strong scrubbing.
