The Windfall Edition

1. If you were to get a unexpected windfall, what is your first thought on what to do with the money? Were you practical or not?!
Split it between the bank and church. That's about as practical as it gets for us.
2. You have $1000 to spend on yourself. What do you buy? With $5000?
For $1000, I'd buy a cheap plane ticket and hotel room for a weekend somewhere warm. For $5000, I'd plan a cruise.
3. You have $1000 to spend on something for your home. What do you buy? With $5000?
Proper drapes for the living/dining room for $1000. With $5000 I'd spring for a hot tub.
4. You have your windfall and you realize your car is older than you. So what do you buy?
If my car is older than me, then it's a 'classic' and if it's still functional then it's a freakin' miracle! I'd probably buy a Prius for getting around, but I'd need substantially more than $5000 for it!
5. You decide to buy some books with your windfall at Amazon. What 5 books would you get?
These are the first 5 books that came up on my wishlist: Maus, Maus II, Shoah: The Complete Text of the Acclaimed Holocaust Film, the liberator (it's supposed to be all small letters), and The Travel Book: A Journey Through Every Country in the World. Interesting list...three Holocaust things, a religion thing, and a travel book.
