Moving

1. when was the last time you moved from one home to another?

Just over four years ago.

2. when was the last time you moved at work?

Two years ago. I think. Maybe three?

3. have you ever had any problems with a hired mover?

The last time we moved we hired some guys to moved the sleeper sofa and two (cheap) desks. They broke one of the desks. In half. God knows how.

4. one day at work, i was given less than 24 hours to move my desk. what was the shortest amount of time you've had to move in?

It would probably take me less than a workday to pack up my stuff. We have lots of carts. That's one of the perks of library work. As for moving house...we did it in three days last time.

5. in your house, what would be the hardest item to move and why?

Probably one or more of our desks.

6. at your office/work, what would be the hardest item to move and why?

Nothing. I'm really portable. I guess that means the computer would be it.

7. if you had to move at work, describe your perfect office location (guinness taps optional!).

I'd settle for a door at this point, far away from certain very specific annoying people on staff.

8. if you had to move your home, describe your perfect home location. good schools? pub withing staggering-home distance?

More moderate weather, low humidity, lots of sunshine, decent shopping fairly close by, good internet access, good libraries and some sort of cultural stuff...
