Curious as a Cat

(Link at left)

1) If you had to choose today, which six of your friends or family would you choose to be your pallbearers?
Beast and Sparky, of course. My brother, and my three oldest nephews: James, Don, and Alan.
2) How do you show love for your parents?
By doing what needs to be done to make my mom's life as comfortable as possible.
3) What is your most commonly recurring dream? Why do you keep having that dream?
I don't really have any recurring dreams except about making sure there is no one left inside the library at closing time. When I had this on repeatedly--when I worked for PsychoBoss--it was clearly a "stress dream." The worse things got at that job, the more often I had that dream. I've had a similar dream twice in the 11 years I have worked at my current job.
4) What is the least gratitude you've ever been shown?
Has to be something around child-rearing, doesn't it? Because, really...nothing else compares in my life. I don't expect to be thanked for a lot of the stuff I do, though it's nice when I am thanked! However, I don't think we ever really appreciate what our parents have done for us at the moment they are doing it.
5) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
Since I was thinking about the PsychoJob above, this photo reminds me of one of the pages stringing several dozen paperclips together at the circulation desk one evening. The next day we all were told that if anyone on staff had that much free time, we clearly aren't doing our work, the implication being that we would lose our jobs if she caught us doing that. Keep in mind, we probably had close to 2,000 paperclips around: we used them for EVERYTHING!! PsychoBoss badly wanted to fire someone for this--she knew it was a high school kid, but no one would (or could) tell her who did it. The irony? K!sh! (the page in question) did this while waiting for someone to fill out the form to get a library card, so she really didn't have anything else to do in that 3-minute period of time. And just how did PsychoBoss find this string of paperclips? Checking up on us, as she did every morning before anyone else got to work. Now, whenver I see a bunch of paperclips, I forcibly have to stop myself from creating a string!
