Vacation

1. When was the last time you went on vacation (where a vacation means time away from work/school and not at home)?

We had a week last month of wandering around the East Coast states.

2. When on vacation, are you more likely to do and see as many things as possible or kick back and watch the world go by?

I prefer to be doing things all the time. Beast usually wants to kick back. The next vacation we do will be one of his sort, though. We both need it!

3. You're visiting a new place. Would you rather go shopping or hit the museums?

No contest: museums. I only tend to shop in museum stores.

4. Where are your favorite vacation spots?

For relaxing: Moosehead Lake, Ydra, Eagle Ridge
For doing stuff: London, Ouray (though it can be very much "lie around"ish too), Galena

5. Do you have any vacation-specific fears or worries, like a fear of flying or of forgetting your toothbrush?

I used to obsess about making sure I'd packed everything, because that's the way we were growing up. Nowadays, I tend to only worry about whether I've got some cash, my ATM card, a driver's license (and passport if necessary), and my meds. It's nice to have a change of clothes too, and trip-specific stuff (like the bridesmaid dress on this last trip. The sorts of things that are impossible or very difficult/time-consuming to replace. It's very freeing to know that if I forget to pack Kleenex, the world is not going to end!
