Friday Fun

(Link at left)
Fives

1. If you could have a day free of responsibility, and money were no object, what are 5 things you would do for yourself?
Get a lengthy massage
Buy lots of new clothes.
See a dietician.
Sleep.
Do crosswords and Sudoku till I was sick of them.
2. If you won $5 million, what are 5 things you would do with it?
Give a lot of it away, no strings attached (to charities, not people).
Pay off the mortgage on the house.
Invest for Sparky's college, etc.
Take a relaxing vacation somewhere very warm this winter.
Buy a small house somewhere in the mountains.
3. If you had only $100 to spend, what five things would you buy?
A notebook, a pen, a bottle of Dr. Pepper, a pillow and a blanket. The rest I'd give away, and then I'd go to the state park nearby, find a quiet place to sit, and alternate writing with sleeping.
4. Name 5 books you would recommend to me!
Whew. These are getting harder and harder!
Eventide (Kent Haruf)
The Book of Ruth (Jane Hamilton)
The Bean Trees (Barbara Kingsolver)
If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things (Jon McGregor)
Born on a Blue Day (Daniel Tammet)
5. What are 5 things you wish you knew how to do?
Finish large projects.
Drive a motorcycle.
Drive a semi.
Stay calm when the world is crashing around me.
Say no.
6. Name 5 things you love about yourself.
I'm smart, fun, loyal, mostly reliable, and quick on the uptake.
